Finished crown

One finished crown. The first pretty princess to try it on was our neighbour Beth (19) amidst must squealing, and then her mum, Helen, who didn’t want to take it off again.

You can’t see it because I folded it under, but the crown cap has a big silk fingerloop at the top. It’s completely inauthentic, but it’s there to help the crown handler becuase the thing weighs over a pound and I figure toddlers need to have it partially supported.

  3. That is lovely! and I’ve so enjoyed the process pics you posted while you made it, too.

  4. They’ll be queuing up for a go, Tanya. It’s marvellous.

  5. What a fabulous piece – where can I try it on?

  6. Nice bling. But that pillow though…. yum

    • The little cushion is pretty, but to be honest what you can’t see is that it’s pieced together from scraps from my dress. I’m going to make something better for next time, to be honest I’m waiting for sartor to get some silk in instead of pestilential bloody rayon

  7. You are going to be inundated with wannabe princesses, big and small!
