Bunting

Spent some time this afternoon helping out our neighbour, Beth, who needed teeny weeny bunting for a wedding cake.

I’m not going to the wedding and I have no idea who Sophie and Pete are.

I also started cracking on with my seventeenth century jacket that’s been in the todo pile for over a year – mainly because I need to wear it at an event in about a months time.

I will make a concerted effort to finish it, but it it doesn’t look viable one week before I’ll run up a plain version on the sewing machine as a stopgap because I long ago gave up stressing myself out about costume.

  1. Very wise. Pick the right things to stress about – or ideally, don’t get stressed at all!

  2. I just don’t get bunting. Some people are totally mad for it. Why?

    • I think it’s supposed to evoke feelings of vintage nostalgia. I had to step in, Beth’s mum Helen had been trying to make the bunting out of ribbon and seriously cocking it up, I was summoned to consult on the cake because Beth was stressing so much ( Beth has a catering degree, she’s been working at dr oetker, and keep getting consulted on projects)
