wednesday workshop

I did a little freehand blackwork workshop at preston park on wednesday for some of the museum volunteers.

that one is my demo piece.

And as you can see everyone managed a flower – some made  less progress than others because of needing to practice the stitch a bit more before starting. A couple were very brave and went truly freehand, the rest decided to draw on the fabric first.

Only one person had done blackwork before – the counted kind, so I think they all did really well.

  1. They did do well, as it can be slightly unnverving to just “launch” like that. But a lot of fun!
