opus camo

it’s not a full update this week as I’ve not got much sewing done due to life and assorted other stuff.

Also slow progress because I decided graffiti boy needed camo trousers, and since theres no such thing as medieval camo it proved a bit challenging.

I’ve photographed them alongside a pic of the superdry ones I used as inspiration. I don’t feel they’re entirely sucessful (true random is decidedly difficult to pull off) but they’re growing on me and I think the pattern will be less shouty once the rest is complete.

I added shading by working the colours in pairs – black/very dark grey, dark/midgreyblue, and grey/silver, working the darker shade of each pair to the side and the brighter to the middle

  1. Love this! It looks great.

  2. Motley grunge!

  3. I think you’ve produced a really successful rendition of camouflage, and once the whole thing is done, you will find it will settle back comfortably as part of the piece.

  4. The opus camp looks perfect.
