his trousers are much less shouty now he’s fully clothed. I worked his shirt in several strands of different grey in an attempt to get that marled jersey effect (gareth keeps wandering past and saying how hideous the shirt is, but I think that’s more of a comment on how utterly chav it is, rather than on the needlework) Maga hat seemed a bit out of date, so I swapped it for a streetwear brand called obey because the juxtaposition of the message and his actions amused me.

I’m quite pleased with his tattoo.

  1. There’s a line in “Becker”, addressed sotto voce to the retreating back of someone with their baseball cap on backwards, which goes something like “You cannot possibly be as stupid as that makes you look!”

    I love the way the details are evolving as you work it!
