Telly
Hee- the Christmas coat I made for my mum was on telly! (With my mum in it, obviously) It was “A very English Winter” with the UNthank sisters, there was a very long shot of just my mum and my stepdad when they went to Greatham to see the sword dancing.
It’s a bit ironic, really – all the work my mum does researching and recreating traditional english folk dress, which would have fit so well into that programme, and what does she end up being on it for…? some bloody silly christmas present her smartarse daughter makes for her!
It feels really weird to see someone you know on tv, though, doesn’t it!

Doesn’t bother me much when its someone I know (it happens a lot when most of your freinds are re enactors) its really wierd when you see yourself though…

There’s a moment of “Do I really look like that?”, isn’t there…

Any comment on whether the Unthanks were nice people or divas? Hope the former.
